What is this book about?
The book is an anthology of the US Hardcore Scene today. With this ever-changing scene, I wanted to create a book that acts as a “report” on peoples thoughts and experiences throughout Hardcore from the past 30 years til today and to the future. I’d like to focus mostly on the current scene and active bands today, whether they are old bands or new ones, and in all regions of the US. It will include photos, show reports, interviews with artists, creators and participants, essays, record reviews and more.
Timeline for release?
The book is slated to be released in November 2027 before the holidays. I hope we can do it!

How will this book be produced and released?
This is a self-published book. My plan is to launch a Kickstarter in February 2027. Our goal for production costs will be $15,700.29. Yep. I know we can do this, though as long as we get enough backers. Whether or not we reach out goal or only partially, I will be reaching out to people who can cover the costs. I will list out the breakdown of our goal on the Kickstarter.
How much will it cost to produce this book?
We are going to run 500 copies for the first edition, and with production, shipping supplies, each book will be about $15 to produce + $5 for freight.
How much does this book cost?
To make? For a 300 page book @ 500 units, it will likely cost $20 to produce and ship to the US. That being said, the cost of the book will be $100+shipping in order to cover Creator and Contributor costs, Charity donations, Payment Processing fees, and Book Production.
Will participants be compensated?
yes. For the first edition of the book, I will be allocating 20% of the profits for photographers and 20% for other contributors. Participants also have an option to forego bi-yearly payments for a free special copy of the book. Each bi-yearly (twice a year) payout will be ~$50-250 depending on your contribution
Am I being interviewed or do am I interviewing another person?
I’d like to interview you! You are a special part of the hardcore scene and I want to hear your voice. BUT if you’re interested in interview other people who are interested in being in the book, whether it’s an artist or a participant in the scene, I’m all for it. Let me know.
Is this book only about the US Hardcore scene?
I would preferably like to focus on US Hardcore scene, but there may be a bonus section for people who are covering bands outside of the US.
Are we donating to any special cause?
YES! 11.5% of book proceeds will go to back to a Hardcore community charity of choice.
Do we get a discount on the book?
YES! Every person who contributes to the book will get a 15% off discount code to use at checkout. You can use it for yourself or give it to a friend.
